Field Service Technician (m/f/d)

For our team we are looking for a

Do you have a keen mechanical aptitude? Do you like to travel? Do you enjoy building large structures? We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician, based out of either the greater Detroit, Michigan area or Montgomeryville, PA, for overnight installation travel (50%) required at systems integrators and automotive assembly plants. Flexibility to travel to on short notice, work overtime, and remain on the road for several weeks at a time is key!

Your tasks

  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, CAD drawing specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials
  • Position parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed component
  • Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
  • Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Our requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED, prior assembly experience and initiative to do things right the first time
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and measurement skills; knowledge of metric system would really be great
  • Experience reading engineering prints and work orders
  • Capable of following detailed, multi-step instructions
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand tools safely and to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong eye/hand coordination, ability to lift 75 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
  • Full vaccination against COVID 19
